• William and Derek are out hacking regularly around Newcastle and Newtownmountkennedy; keep an eye out for them. They tell me that preparation is what its all about (which may account for the funny walk I noticed!)
• Weather forecast is good (but not too good) to make it comfortable for horse and rider.
• Larry Dunne has kindly volunteered to advise on the animal welfare for the charity ride.
